This presentation will enable HR professionals to:

• Realize how imperative it is that they work closely with the safety and risk management functions within their organization
• Be better able to assess their organizations preparedness for an OSHA inspection
• Learn from the real-life examples of other organizations who have succeeded at aligning the functions of HR, safety and risk management, so that they can duplicate that success in their own organization. 

In spite of the fact that SHRM-National and HRCI both emphasize safety as a core HR discipline, most HR professionals are dangerously ignorant about many of the safety liabilities that currently exist within their organizations.  If OSHA were to show up for an investigation, or if their workplace and workforce were faced with a tragic accident this ignorance would likely cost the organization a tremendous amount of money and cost the HR professional his or her job as well.

This presentation will open the eyes of the HR professional to where their liabilities most likely exist and give them some practical guidance toward finding the tools and resources they need to protect their employees, their organization and ultimately their own careers.
